Unless your car is new, we all quickly become familiar to how quickly our car can accelerate, get to certain speeds and the miles per gallon we can expect.
Sometimes, a car becoming sluggish does naturally occur as it gets older. However, sometimes an underlying issue is to blame.
2. Unusual noises
It should always be a red flag if the noises in your car differ to what you normally hear. Most of us drive our cars every single day – if you think something is unusual, trust your gut.
It can be hard to narrow down where the noise is pointing to – your tyres, engine, brakes and exhausts can all be the culprit of strange noises. This is why a service is a great solution.
3. New vibrations
A change in vibrations or your car juddering is similar to new noises in the way that there can be multiple culprits. It could be a suspension issue, problem with your wheels or a bigger engine issue.
4. Dashboard warning lights
One great thing about modern cars is that if there is an issue, your dashboard will let you know. Dashboard warning lights are perhaps the most obvious sign that a service is needed, but many of us put off getting it checked until it’s convenient.
The longer you delay getting it checked, the more you increase the likelihood of causing damage to your engine. Get it checked early and prevent any unexpected costly repairs.
