What’s included in an MOT?
The MOT test is a yearly legal requirement for every vehicle over 3 years old and has to be carried out to DVSA guidelines it involves a full inspection of your vehicle to make sure it’s in safe condition.
Our qualified technicians check every detail and make sure each area meets the minimum standard set out by the DVSA. Only when they are completely satisfied that your vehicle is safe to drive, will they issue your MOT certificate.

An MOT can be completed up to a month before it is due and still keep the original expiry date. (For example – if your MOT test is due on the 1st of April it can be done from 2nd March onwards)

What happens during an MOT?
An MOT is a full vehicle inspection, from lights to suspension, brakes, tyres and emissions. It’s a comprehensive vehicle once-over and can help to diagnose any early issues that a vehicle may have, long before a fault actually develops.
Most vehicles fail an MOT test because of a faulty bulb, which is easy to fix. However, more costly repairs may need to be made to suspension, tyres and brakes.
If a vehicle fails an MOT, Bodymek will advise the customer of the reasons why the vehicle has failed and the remedies to get the vehicle through the MOT so that a certificate can be issued.
