We don’t expect you to necessarily know if your car is suitable or recommended for an oil upgrade. When you book your service one of our trained technicians will advise you fully on whether this particular upgrade is recommended for your vehicle.

R134A gas is common in vehicles built before 2014, where as vehicles since January 2017 typically include the newer R1234YF air con gas; which is more environmentally friendly. Vehicles manufactured between 2014 and 2016 could have either, as R134A gas was gradually phased out during this period.
Typically the older R134A air con gas comes with a black cap, whereas the R1234YF air con gas is found to have a grey cap.
Best way to know for sure though is to ask one of our technicians. When you contact us to book your air con refill we will advise you as to which refill you require.
